The Ultimate in Flexibility: Rear Dual Twin Bed RVs in Gananoque

For traveling friends, siblings, or couples who simply sleep better in their own space, the "Rear Dual Twin Bed" layout is the smartest floorplan on the market. At RV Canada 1000 Islands in Gananoque, Ontario, we find this layout is especially popular in our Class B and Class C Motorhome inventory. Unlike a static Queen bed, these rear twins offer unmatched versatility. Keep them capable of sleeping two people separately with a center aisle for easy access to the back doors, or use the "Flex Bed" insert to convert the entire area into a massive King-sized sleeping deck.

Why Choose a Rear Twin Layout?

Center Aisle Access: In Class B camper vans, the rear twin layout preserves the center aisle. This allows you to load long items like kayaks, surfboards, or fishing rods through the rear doors and store them between the beds while you travel.

The "Flex Bed" System: You aren't stuck with twin beds forever. Most of our models feature a support board and cushion insert that fills the gap between the two beds, instantly creating a sleeping surface wider than a residential King mattress.

Separate Sleeping Zones: Perfect for partners with different sleep schedules. One person can get up to use the restroom or make coffee without crawling over the other, ensuring a better night's rest for everyone.

Top Brands with Rear Twin Options

Jayco Swift & Terrain: These Class B vans are masters of the rear twin layout. Built on the RAM ProMaster or Mercedes Sprinter chassis, they offer comfortable twin beds with Froli sleep systems and ample overhead storage.

Entegra Coach Qwest & Odyssey: Many of these Class C motorhomes feature rear twin configurations that make excellent use of the slide-outs, offering a spacious bedroom that feels like a hotel suite.

Forest River Forester: Offers Class C floorplans where the rear twins can function as sofas during the day, giving you a secondary lounging area for reading or watching TV.

FAQ: Twin Beds vs. Bunk Beds

What is the difference between RV Twin Beds and Bunk Beds? While both sleep one person, they are designed for different campers. Twin Beds are floor-level beds, typically wider (32-34 inches) and longer than standard bunks, making them perfect for adults. Bunk Beds are stacked vertically to save space, are often narrower (28-30 inches), and are generally designed for children.

Can two adults sleep in a Rear Twin layout? Absolutely. In fact, many couples prefer it. RV Twin beds are often longer than a standard RV Queen (74-80 inches long), making them excellent for taller adults who find standard RV beds too short.

How does the "Flex Bed" conversion work? It takes seconds. The unit comes with a solid support board that bridges the gap between the two twin beds. You place the board down and fill the space with the provided cushion inserts. This creates a wall-to-wall mattress that is often larger than a King bed (74" x 76"+).

Are sheets hard to find for RV Twin beds? Not at all. Most RV twin beds are close to standard "Twin XL" residential sizes (used in college dorms). Alternatively, many owners simply use King size sheets when the beds are converted, or standard sleeping bags for easy setup.
